Self Evaluation of course social media opportunities for work and leisure.

 

During this course I got to dive in the word of social media. We all use social media in our everyday lives and at least I didn’t think how much things are to be know about it.

What I learned?

One of the things I learned during this course is how important is the different connection when come to social media. In my head I would think that is more important to have strong ties, but I got to learning when building social media platforms for example for your business is really important to take care of the not strong ties. This means that sometimes is more important to your social media to have those good day acquaintances and people that you don’t know personally to follow you and support your social media to grow.

Another really thing I learned is the importance of data protection and knowledge of copy rights. I think in everyday live we don’t think so much what we post on social media and for example what it means to post a photo that is yours. When you post a photo to social media, many of the platforms then gain the right of the photo or video. This also got me thinking of copyrights and what they mean, for example for the pictures that I take. This course also gave me more information on the different kinds of copyright and when something is copyrighted it necessarily doesn’t mean that no one can not use the media, since there is also copyright that allows it.

Challenges

I challenged myself during this course to make my assignment on that kind of platform I am not so comfortable or familiar using. I like social media and I think I am quit creative when it comes to photos and videos, but writing for me is little bit harder and I am not so creative with my words. This is why I chose to write a blog instead of vlog which I would been maybe more comfortable with. I learned during this course to write more freely, but I still feel like writing and doing a blog is not as much my thing.

Evaluation of performance

In my opinion, I think I did quite well on this course. I learned to analyze social media behaviors I see in my free time and at work. Based on the information and knowledge I got out from this course and seeing how to build successfully social media platform, I was able to create implementation plan from accommodation service providers. For sure I still have many things to learn about social media and I am excited to build my knowledge on top of I have learn from this course.

My goal for this course were to bee open for all the things to come and learn how I could benefit from this course in me free time and at my work. I think I successfully have got new information to meet my personal goals.
